Denman & Davis Names Four to New Positions
Move Bolsters Sales Force
Clifton, NJ, January 12, 2000 Denman & Davis, an ISO 9002 multi-location steel service center, has increased the depth of its sales force and its customer reach with the appointments of L.J. (Larry) Coulthurst, Mike Cappiello, Dan Consiglio and Robert Laurano to the company's sales team.
Mr. Coulthurst joins Denman & Davis from Foster Wheeler Corp., Perryville, New Jersey as a new sales agent and will work with key accounts. He brings 33 years of experience, mainly in purchasing, to Denman & Davis. At Foster Wheeler, Mr. Coulthurst was responsible for purchasing steel, raw and fabricated materials and was involved in international licensing. A 1955 graduate of Duke University, Mr. Coulthurst holds a B.A. in History. He is a resident of the Long Valley section of Washington Township, New Jersey.
Outside Sales Representative Mike Cappiello joins Denman & Davis from Key Span Energy Corporation of Hicksville, New York. Mr. Cappiello was with Key Span for 30 years and was a senior buyer there. He later was an independent purchasing and inventory control consultant on Long Island, New York. He majored in business administration while attending New York Tech in Westbury, N.Y. and is a resident of Long Island.
In his new position, Mr. Consiglio will focus on outside sales and will be based out of Denman & Davis' Clifton, New Jersey facility. Before coming to Denman & Davis, Mr. Consiglio was director of operations for Lynch Metals, Union, New Jersey and also spent five years as director of operations at the Clifford Metals Division of Lapham/Hickey Steel in Providence, Rhode Island. He brings with him purchasing and manufacturing experience, having also worked as the plant/sales manager for Sage, a manufacturer of steel and brass fittings in Providence, Rhode Island. Mr. Consiglio attended Bristol Community College in Massachusetts with a concentration in financial management. He resides in Lyncroft, New Jersey.
New Outside Sales Representative Robert Laurano will be based out of Denman & Davis' Slatersville, Rhode Island center. He comes to Denman & Davis after 13 years as a product specialist at Ryerson Thypin Steel, located in Ayer, Massachusetts. Before his tenure at Ryerson, Laurano worked in inside sales at U.S. Steel Supply in Brighton, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Salem State College, Salem, Massachusetts, and holds a B.S. in business administration with a concentration in management. Mr. Laurano lives in Revere, Massachusetts with his wife and two daughters.
