Denman and Davis Updates Truck Fleet
CLIFTON, N.J. May 31, 2007 Denman & Davis, the Northeast’s largest general-line independent steel service center, updated its delivery fleet with six new vehicles, including four International 9200 tractors and two flatbeds. Based in the company’s Clifton, N.J., headquarters, all of the trucks are replacing existing vehicles and will service Denman & Davis’ entire customer base in the Northeast.
The new vehicles, all painted white with the red and black Denman & Davis eagle, are part of an extensive upgrade to the transportation fleet that includes new software and GPS systems that can speed delivery times by helping drivers avoid traffic, poor road conditions, construction zones, and other obstacles while improving fuel efficiency. The new trucks also feature better comfort and ergonomic design for the drivers, each of whom has a minimum of three years of delivery experience.
