Denman & Davis Awarded for Vendor Performance by Metropolitan Transit Authority/New York City Transit Steel Service Center Gets Kudos for Commitment to On-time Delivery
Clifton, NJ, December 9, 1999 Denman & Davis, a multi-site steel service center headquartered in Clifton, N.J., was recently honored by the Metropolitan Transit Authority/NYC Transit (MTA) for its commitment to on-time materials delivery. The award was presented during an MTA meeting held in New York City.
David N. Deinzer, President & CEO; Ronald C. Knauf, Executive Vice President; and Vicky Belden, Sales Representative accepted the award on behalf of the company, saying Denman & Davis is delighted to have been recognized by the MTA as a quality vendor. The company has an A-rating of 97% on-time delivery and is among nine select MTA vendors (out of 1,300) to be honored with a Vendor Performance Award that recognizes teamwork as well as commitment to the job and cost containment.
Mr. Deinzer said the award reflects Denman & Davis' objective of personalized and value-added services, such as Just-in-Time delivery. "To be in business for 111 years like we have, and to stay in business, you must be committed to your customer's needs. One quality initiative that we've wholeheartedly pursued is on-time delivery. This award from NYC Transit is a wonderful acknowledgement of that pursuit," Mr. Deinzer said.
Denman & Davis is an ISO 9002 certified multi-location steel service center, supplying steel and other metal products to original equipment manufacturers, metalworking job shops, fabricators and maintenance and repair departments. The company is headquartered in Clifton, N.J.
